soo much of hoa’s plot could have been avoided if the adults just like communicated with the kids. victor like barely ever takes a second to think about why they would even want the mask and he knows he needs the chosen one to wear it to get the tears of gold so like why not just ask?? they have such a scooby doo villain mindset like in s3 they’re just like ‘these meddling kids wanna stop our super important and moral uncursing ceremony because they hate fun!!’ like they could’ve just gone ‘why do you want us to stop this there’s no problem with it?’ and they would’ve been like ‘oh it’s because denby is an imposter so he’ll wake up evil’ and they could’ve fixed it!! you’d think after discovering that they almost accidentally murdered like 6 kids in s1 before they were stopped that they’d maybe wanna be more careful next time
victor knows nina is lying every time she lies but he also knows that her lying knows no bounds and if he calls her out on it she’ll just come up with something so much more outlandish that there’s no way to disprove it. how is this man supposed to know that they’re not using the telescope to look for the nearest bowling alley. how is he supposed to know whether or not fabian loves to bowl. deep in his heart victor knows fabian could never bowl a strike but all he can do is look exasperated and move on.
Victor has the most random assortment of ppl in his cult. Literally one cop. One nurse. His bestie from the school. And some parents. I know all he’d have to do to convince them is show proof that he’s nearly one hundred but I mean. I’d love to read a fic or see a show (a girl can dream okay) about Victor recruiting the cult members and their initial reaction to him. because I’m sure they think he’s insane. how did he meet that nurse?? did he break his leg and pull up to the ER like “btw I have the secret to eternal life if you’re interested haha” did victor get pulled over by the cop and say “maybe I don’t have a valid license but guess why….haha” I need answers
other random s2 thoughts include: that scene where fabian is trying to pick the lock on the cellar door after going to the movie with joy and eddie asks “what are you doing” so casually that fabian instinctively replies “i couldn’t get through the bread oven” before realizing who it is
and that wording implies that he TRIED to get through the oven, which he knows needs nina’s locket,, so i like to imagine he just straight up started begging the house to let him in like “ik usually u only talk to nina but i have to get down there its really important” or “sarah you met me you know im nina’s bestie come on” and when that failed he maybe gave the door a stupid little kick before trying the cellar door like comedic potential here is so high
sometimes i think about s2 and how hilarious the sibuna plot was bc of the fact that victor knew what they were doing, they knew what victor was doing, and both sides refused to acknowledge this
which led to hilarious scenes like the one where nina bumps into victor making him drop the zodiac, and she grabs it, locks herself in the bathroom and makes amber take a pic of it, before just giving it back to victor. and they both just pretend like she did that for no reason like i can’tttt
Rewatching Patricia and Eddie’s first kiss gives me such a strong hit of serotonin because “this is my last attempt Patricia” bullshit. he would have never given up. and “I told you, I like you, which you know was not easy for me” this amount of ‘you mean enough to me to be vulnerable and honest with you and it’s gross but I like it’ it’s just so beautiful coming from a young man with a history of abandonment issues and a tough guy act. and finally “c’mon you’re killing me! What do I have to do to get a reaction?” Followed by The kiss. The perfect reaction. Patricia not being able to blab and yack for a while is the whole reason she and Eddie became official cause there is no way she would have verbally been able to say what she meant, so yeah their first kiss was everything.
